DOC. magazine is the representive magazine of the design faculty of the Munich University Of Applied Sciences. The magazine is published biannually with every issue being dedicated to a specific subject. The content of the magazine allows people outside the faculty to gain insights into projects and student work, encouraging critical conversations, accentuating changes and showcasing ideas and design approaches.

The subject of issue number 14 was Intersections. We decided on the thematic of intersections in order to show how fluid the boundaries of the once clearly separated design disciplines have become, but also what significance the design of the material and immaterial, the two-dimensional and three-dimensional, the image, the surface and the object has in the age of the digital. What role does design play in transformation processes, how strongly are image aesthetics or environments shaped or what role do design-theoretical questions play for practical design. How does design react to the social challenges of our time and to what extent does it contribute to shaping the future?

In addition to the conceptualization of the magazine, we also took over the corporate identity for the bachelor‘s end of year exhibition of 2017.
